A password can be stolen, guessed or leaked from another site. With two-step verification, even someone who knows your password can't get in without your phone. For anyone managing a business profile, it is the simplest strong protection there is. John Doe turns it on for the account he uses to manage his bakery.
The profile and sign-in pages are in Albanian, so we quote each label as it appears, with a translation.
What you need
- A Kerko account and its password.
- An authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy or similar).
The journey, step by step
Open your Profile
Click your name at the top right and choose Profili (Profile).
Under "Siguria", turn it on
In Siguria (Security), next to Verifikimi me dy hapa (Two-step verification), click Aktivizo verifikimin me dy hapa (Turn on two-step verification) and confirm with your password.
Scan the QR code
Open your authenticator app, choose to add an account and scan the QR code Kerko shows.
Enter the 6-digit code
The app shows a code that changes every 30 seconds. Type the current code into Kerko to confirm.
Done
You see Verifikimi me dy hapa është aktiv (Two-step verification is on). From now on, Kerko also asks for the code on new devices.
Konfiguro verifikimin me dy hapa
Skanoni kodin QR me aplikacionin e autentifikimit (Google Authenticator, Authy etj.).
Signing in once it is on
After your email and password, Kerko asks for the code from your app. Open the app, type the current code and continue. On your own computer you can tick Më mbaj mend (30 ditë) (Remember me for 30 days) so you don't have to type it every time.

When you change phones
The codes live only on the phone that scanned the QR code. Before you change or reset your phone:
- Sign in to Kerko and open Profili (Profile).
- In Siguria (Security) click Çaktivizo verifikimin me dy hapa (Turn off two-step verification) and confirm.
- Turn it on again and scan the QR code with the new phone.
If you have lost your phone and can't sign in, contact Kerko support from your account's email address.
Other simple steps
- Use a password you don't use on any other site. Forgot it? How to reset your Kerko password.
- In your Profile, check the devices where you are signed in and sign out of any you don't recognise.
