How to change your Kerko password
Change your Kerko password from your profile when you know the current one. Step by step, plus what to do if someone else might know it.

An old password, the same one as your email or one shared with someone who no longer works with you: these are the most common reasons to change it. When you know the current password, it takes less than a minute. Let's watch John Doe do it, after once giving his password to a seasonal worker.

The journey, step by step
Open your profile
While signed in, click your name at the top right and choose Profile.
Find the Siguria card
On the right (further down on a phone) is the Siguria (Security) card with two rows: two-step verification and your password.
Click "Ndrysho" next to Fjalëkalimi
Click Ndrysho (Change) on the Fjalëkalimi (Password) row. The Ndrysho fjalëkalimin (Change password) window opens.
Enter the current and the new password
Fill in Fjalëkalimi aktual (Current password), Fjalëkalimi i ri (New password) and Përsërit fjalëkalimin e ri (Repeat new password), then click Ruaj (Save).
Confirmation
Fjalëkalimi u ndryshua (Password changed) appears at the top. Next time, sign in with the new password.

Think someone else knew your password?
Changing the password doesn't sign other devices out automatically. After changing it, scroll down the same page to Sesionet aktive (Active sessions) and click Mbyll sesionet e tjera (Close other sessions). A good password
- At least 8 characters; a short sentence is easier to remember and harder to guess.
- Don't use it anywhere else, especially not for your email.
- Don't share it with your team: invite colleagues with their own accounts.
- For even better protection, turn on two-step verification.

Frequently asked questions
I've forgotten my current password. How do I change it?
Without the current password, use the code reset from the sign-in page, under "Harruat fjalëkalimin?" (Forgot your password?).
Does changing my password sign me out of other devices?
No. Devices where you're signed in stay signed in. If something seems off, close the other sessions from your profile under "Sesionet aktive" (Active sessions).
How long does the password need to be?
At least 8 characters. Better still, a short sentence you remember and don't use anywhere else.
I sign in with Google. Do I have a Kerko password?
No, and you don't need one. Signing in with Google or Facebook works without a Kerko password.
