A password isn't the only way into your account. On Kerko you can sign in with one click through Google or Facebook, or with a link or code sent to your email. In this guide John Doe has forgotten his password but doesn't want to wait: he signs in with a code.

The sign-in page is in Albanian, so we quote each label as it appears, with a translation.

Four ways to sign in

OptionWhere you find itWhen it helps
GoogleThe button at the top of the sign-in pageIf you signed up with Google
FacebookThe button at the top of the sign-in pageIf you signed up with Facebook
Magic LinkThe "Probleme me kyçje?" boxA link by email, sign in with one click
Code (OTP)The "Probleme me kyçje?" boxA 6-digit code by email

Google or Facebook

On the sign-in page click Google or Facebook, pick your account and you're in. There's no password to remember, and Kerko never sees your Google or Facebook password.

  1. Try to sign in as usual

After three failed attempts, the Probleme me kyçje? (Trouble signing in?) box appears under the form with three options.

  2. Choose "Dërgo Magic Link" or "Dërgo Kod (OTP)"

Dërgo Magic Link sends a link, Dërgo Kod (OTP) sends a code. The form changes so only the email field is left. Check the address and click the button below it.

  3. Open the email

Within seconds you get either a Kyçu tani (Sign in now) button or a 6-digit code. Both are valid for 15 minutes.

  4. Sign in

With the link: click Kyçu tani and Kerko opens your dashboard. With the code: type it on the sign-in page and click Hyr me Kod (Sign in with code).

This is the box John sees after his third attempt:

Want your password back?

Once you're in, you can set a new password from your profile: How to change your Kerko password. If you can't get in at all, use Rivendos Fjalëkalimin (Reset password) in the same box: How to reset your Kerko password.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the Magic Link in the email valid?

15 minutes, and it works only once. If it expires, request a new one from the sign-in page.

Why can't I see the Magic Link and code buttons?

They appear after three failed password attempts, in the "Probleme me kyçje?" (Trouble signing in?) box. Google and Facebook are always at the top of the page.

Is signing in with a code safe?

Yes. The code only goes to your email and expires after 15 minutes. Kerko's team will never ask you for it.

I signed up with Google. Can I sign in with email and password?

Keep signing in with Google. That way you don't need a Kerko password at all.
